About speaker:
Mary Jo Zervas is a QA and testing professional who has been in the IT industry for over 20 years. She started her career as a java developer, but quickly realized testing, and quality assurance were her passion. She has held QA positions at a variety of companies in the Chicagoland area, such as Syclo, Redbox and is currently a Principal Test Engineer at Paylocity.
Mary Jo has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Elmhurst College and a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Kentucky. Active in the Chicago quality assurance community, Mary Jo holds Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE) and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certifications and is currently the Program Director for the Chicago QA Association. When not searching for the latest software bug, Mary Jo spends time with her husband and son in the Northwest suburbs and is working towards her blue belt in karate.
